Bowstreet changes the economics of web application development and maintenance through its award-winning automation framework and patent-pending reusable software components.  Vollusia recently completed and launched the Bowstreet Community Portal. 

Challenge:
Bowstreet needed a way to make it easy for developers to interact and utilize their technologies, Bowstreet Factory 5 and Bowstreet Portlet Factory for WebSphere.  They asked Vollusia to develop a portal/extranet that would deliver a massive amount of content while keeping consistent with current Bowstreet branding.  

Solutions:
Vollusia created a clean, fast-loading user interface that maintained the integrity of Bowstreet's brand while steering clear of heavy graphics and superfluous design tricks that would only frustrate developers.  Vollusia also integrated the portal's user interface with the existing infrastructure technologies, making it extremely easy for Bowstreet staffers to update and maintain content.

Results:
Developers appreciated being able to avoid the tedious sign-up process that the portal's previous incarnation had boasted.  The Bowstreet Community Portal is inviting and easy to use, welcoming developers to come in, to explore the site, to try their products and to learn.  The entire site works seamlessly with Bowstreet's existing infrastructure.
